Itinerary

  1. Section DividerDay 1:Aru Valley
    Drive to Aru (4 hrs), ice axe/crampon training session
  2. Section DividerDay 2:Lidderwat
    Trek through meadows to Lidderwat (10 km, 4 hrs)
  3. Section DividerDay 3:Satlanjan
    Ascend to Satlanjan base camp (3,800m, 6 km, 5 hrs)
  4. Section DividerDay 4:Kolahoi Base
    Technical climb to advanced base (4,200m, 3 km, 4 hrs)
  5. Day 5:Summit Attempt
    Push for Kolahoi Peak (5,425m) via eastern glacier (14-16 hrs)
  6. Day 6:Reserve Day
    Extra day for summit attempt if needed
  7. Day 7:Lidderwat
    Descend to Lidderwat, celebration dinner
  8. Day 8:Srinagar
    Return trek to Aru, drive back
